Very thin layers of EVAL™ can be coated directly onto paperboard, providing an effective barrier layer against MOSH/MOAH migration.
We recommend the EVAL™ F104B and the EVAL™ E105B as the standard resins for the coextrusion coating while the EVAL™ C109B will enable to produce lower uniform thickness at higher processing speed.

EVAL™ structures can also be coated or laminated onto paper, which can be used to make a separate protective inner liner bag.

Flexible liner bags can be produced using multilayer structures containing a very thin layer of EVAL™. The EVAL™ barrier layer would protect the contents against MOSH/MOAH migration from both the paperboard packaging and the exterior carton box used for shipment. EVAL™ barrier properties would also work against oxygen, odour and flavour permeation, further ensuring the quality of the packaged product over an extended shelf life.
Multilayer Inner liner bags can be easily recycled separately from the paperboard box. EVAL™ will not disrupt polyolefine and PET recycling streams. The few microns of EVAL™ in the structure offer good energy recovery, and will emit only small amounts of CO2 and water vapour.
